Barbara Ann Flandorffer, PT MSHRA, with over thirty-five  years if experience, specializes in advocacy, human resources, and administration in the field of health care. Appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate, Barbara has served on the Pennsylvania Health Policy Board, the Nursing Home Administrators Licensure Board, and as Chair of the Physical Therapy Licensure Board.

Barbara began her career as a physical therapist for the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She later provided physical therapy services at Allentown State Hospital and through patient Home Care before serving ten years as Chief Physical Therapist at Easton Hospital.

Subsequent to her tenure at Easton, Barbara broadened her experience in the private sector as Regional Vice President for Keystone Rehabilitation Systems and Northeast Regional Director of MM&E Physical Therapy Services. As an officer (and later the President) of the Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association, she led a successful legislative expansion of Pennsylvania’s Physical Therapy Licensure Act.

In addition to serving as the Director of Staffing Resources and Compliance for St. Luke’s Hospital and Health Network, Barbara has also served Reading Rehabilitation Hospital, Sacred Heart Hospital, and the Visiting Nurses Association.
Barbara is a graduate of Thiel College, earned her physical therapy credentials at the University of Pittsburgh, and earned her Master of Science degree, with highest honors, in Human Resources Administration at the University of Scranton. She presently serves on the Physical Therapy Assistant Advisory Board at Lehigh Carbon Community College and has served as a member of the Academic and Administrative Committee of the Board of Directors of Lehigh Valley College.
